FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to counterflow shaft furnace for roasting carbonate materials with gas heating. Furnace includes housing with working space formed by refractory radial laying, in which successively in direction of material are zones of heating and burning of carbonate material and cooling zone of ready product, peripheral remote furnace, arranged in two tiers, device for supply of combustion products into furnace working space, made in form of arranged along axis of furnace gas distribution ceramic cylindrical core, having inner flame channel and 2-3 rows of radial holes for discharge of combustion products into furnace working space, wherein distance between external surface of core and radial laying of burning furnace zone does not exceed 1.6 m, core is mounted so that its radial holes are located in burning zone, in lower part of hot channel of core there is an external furnace, and upper end of hot channel is closed by ceramic plug in form of cone with angle of 35-45°.
EFFECT: providing maximum material treatment quality and high efficiency.
