FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: cataract phacoemulsification is performed through a tunnel incision of 2.2 mm for the purpose of intraocular vision correction in the failure of a ligament of lens. Thereafter, an injector is used to implant an optical portion and a support element of a one-piece S-shaped soft intraocular lens (IOL) into a capsular sac. Another support element is pinched and ligated. The ligated support element is brought into the capsular sac with using a filament. Then, it is fixed to the iris with the filament twice brought through a paracentesis and an incisional wound. The IOL is aligned in the process of knotting.
EFFECT: method reduces a probability of developing postoperative complications by the IOL fixation to the iris, as well as a lower number of manipulations through the incision that in its turn reduces the intraoperative injuries and length.
