The wireless communication method includes: identifying scanning capability for a communication device, wherein the scanning capability is based on a network beacon signal transmission interval; preparing a network information message and entering passive scanning mode during the lifecycle of the scanning capability, if the communication device decides to use the scanning capability; and initiating transmission of the network information message if a beacon message corresponding to another network is received by the communication device in passive scanning mode.
