FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: grinding fittings include coaxial stator and rotor discs, working surfaces of which are facing to one another and provided with curvilinear knife protrusions, the cutting edges of which are designed with eccentricity relative to the disk centre, as well as circular and inclined in the same direction. According to the invention, a tilt angle of the cutting edges of the stator knives on the circular entry edge of discs is larger than the tilt angle of the cutting edges of knives of the rotor by 7…10°.
EFFECT: invention permits to improve the efficiency and quality of the grinding process due to the prevalence of shear stresses and fibrillation effect, to intensify the grinding process by providing capture of more fibrous material at conjugation of the cutting edges and reduce energy costs due to the complete use of mechanical and hydrodynamic force action on the fibrous material in one pass through the working annular cavity between the knives.
