FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to experimental medicine, namely to a method for fixing the lower jaw of rats, and is intended for use in preclinical studies on teeth. A lower jaw of the narcotized animal is fixed with a surgical clamp of Billroth, which branches are turned with silicone to ensure dense, fixed and non-traumatic adjacency to the entire surface of the lower jaw of the laboratory animal.
EFFECT: method enables fixing the lower jaw, withdrawing soft tissues of the mouth angle and soft tissues of the cheek to the side, which provides surgical access to the oral cavity, in particular to the side teeth.
