FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to package for smoking articles such as cigarettes. Object of the invention is to provide a package for smoking articles with a ratchet mechanism providing stepwise movement of the lid when opening or closing the enclosing part. The application describes a package for smoking articles comprising: a enclosing part for enclosing a plurality of cigarettes; a lid of the package for smoking articles, hingedly connected to the enclosing part; and a ratchet mechanism for creation of resistance to opening the lid of the package for smoking articles, having a plurality of positions of fixation of the lid of the package for smoking articles and providing the stepwise movement of the lid when opening or closing the enclosing part.
EFFECT: creation of a package for smoking articles with ratchet mechanism providing stepwise movement of the lid when opening or closing the enclosing part.
