FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an industrial robot adapted to the action of salt water caused by an unfavourable environment. The industrial robot has a robotic arm with a plurality of arm components configured to move relative to each other around a plurality of couplings and electric motors which provide movement of the arm components. At least a certain part of the external surface of the robotic arm components is made resistant to salt water by a coating which contains nanoparticles.
EFFECT: invention enables operation of a remote-controlled robot in media which are hazardous, difficult to access and/or are inaccessible by humans.
