FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: coat is applied on substrate to apply the force thereto so that breaking load magnitude allows determination adhesion strength as relation of breaking load to coat tear-off area. Prior to coat application, pusher is pressed against the substrate surface. Coat applied, pusher pressure force is withdrawn without mechanical effects on said coat. Tear-off force is applied to pusher at measuring applied force magnitude. After test pusher replaced with a new one. Proposed device comprises flat spring, loading screw, strain gages, pusher, strain amplifier, peak detector, load indicator. Note here that substrate has slit with spacer screw for straining said slot.
EFFECT: more valid evaluation of adhesion strength.
