FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed to measure specific electric conductivity and electric macroanisotropy of rocks, including electromagnetic excitation of current passing along conducting surface of a metal body of a logging device, with a toroid coil. At the same time actual and imaginary components of current are measured, flowing from different sections of logging device body surface. Measurement is carried out using the specified number of coaxially arranged toroid coils, extreme of which are generator ones and are included into an electric circuit as co-phased and anti-phased, and the remaining ones are receiving. Electromagnetic excitation of current is executed in a wide range of frequencies, at the same time on each frequency they measure actual and imaginary components of the surface current density component coaxial to the logging device and electromotive force with several probes of different length. Using data of measurements, they determine spatial distribution of vertical and horizontal specific electric conductivity of the medium and coefficient of electric macroanisotropy.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of surveillance data.
