FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of directional wells geophysical surveys in the drilling process, and can be used when drilling boreholes along the productive for hydrocarbons formations. Primary application area is the horizontal exploration wells drilling. In the proposed induction logging method induction currents in the host rocks are excited using the generator set, creating a rotating harmonic magnetic field, by the currents equal in amplitude but out of phase, in the two generating coils system with equal in magnitude moments oriented orthogonal to each other and the well axis and moved along the well under study. Magnetic induction ImBx and ImBy horizontal components imaginary quadratures magnitudes are measured using the two measuring coils located at the same distance L from the generating coils, and by the magnetic induction ImBx and ImBy horizontal components imaginary quadratures ratio determining the distance to the boundary of environments with different specific electrical resistances.

EFFECT: increase in the range of determining the boundaries of rocks with different specific electrical resistance when navigating a wellbore.
