COMPLEX CORRELATION-EXTREME NAVIGATION SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC G01C23/00

Abstract RU 2525601 C1

FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: proposed complex correlation-extreme navigation system (CENS) is designed to provide autonomous high-precision correction based on the use of information about several surface physical fields of the Earth, obtained by the machine vision sensors. The complex CENS comprises an inertial navigation system, an infrared (IR) radiometer, a radar station (RS), the signal converter, an on-board digital calculating machine, a unit of forming an integrated current image (CI), the unit of thresholding of CI, a data storage unit and a unit of forming reference image. This complex CENS enables to reduce the amount of storage of reference information, to lift restrictions of choosing the sites of exposure correction and to reduce the calculation time, which in general provides the possibility of carrying out continuous correction and improving the accuracy of navigation.

EFFECT: invention approaches proposed in complex CENS enable the use in addition to the IR radiometer and radar machine vision sensors working in any spectral range, including opto-electronic systems and laser locators.
