FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to thermoelectric energy transformation. The invention concept is as follows: a thermoelectric device (1) comprises at least one through channel (8) with the first bearing layer (3) and at least one second through channel with the second bearing layer (4). Between the first bearing layer (3) and the second bearing layer (4) there is an intermediate space (5). Several semiconducting p-type and n-type elements (7) alloyed with an admixture are arranged in the intermediate space (5) and electrically connected to each other. Relative first thermal expansion of the first bearing layer and relative second expansion of the second bearing layer under conditions of operation are same for the device (1) in the system of exhaust of spent gas of a vehicle. The first bearing layer has expansion ratio from 2·10-6/K to 10.2·10-6/K, and the second bearing layer has expansion ratio from 12·10-6/K to 28.4·10-6/K.
EFFECT: reduced thermal stresses.
