FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to MHD-hardware and can be used in pump units for transfer of electrically conducting fluids. Proposed method consists in adjustment of power supply amplitude and frequency. For this, interval of adjustment of electrically conducting fluid feed to consumer. E.M.F. induced in electrically conducting fluid by travelling electromagnetic field in direction perpendicular to pump axis. Flow rate of electrically conducting fluid is calculated and stabilised by correction of supply amplitude and/or frequency. Electrically conducting fluid feed to consumer is executed at constant flow rate in every interval as the pulse o duration smaller than or equal to electrically conducting fluid feed adjustment interval.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of control.
