FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. An intraocular lens (IOL) comprises a lens with front and back surfaces and a diffraction area on one of the above surfaces to generate focusing power in a near or far region of the diffraction area. The lens has a central refraction area to provide one focusing power within the refraction area. A base curve of the diffraction area corresponds to the focusing power in the far refraction area. The diffraction area comprises a number of annular diffraction areas surrounding the central refraction area and spaced from each other by a number of steps, and wherein the first step in the central refraction area is a step lower as compared to the following one, spaced from the central refraction area so that to change a phase of the central refraction area to generate enhanced light for focusing power within the refraction area. The following step spaced from the central refraction area and further steps spaced from the central refraction area have a uniform height more than a lower step. A method for vision correction in providing the IOL of the above structure and implanting the lens into a patient's eye.
EFFECT: using the given group of inventions provides the patient with a high degree of accommodation and enhances an image visibility for perception in the far and near regions.
