FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: versions of intraocular lenses are characterized by increased depth of focus or individualized multifocality. Design of the lenses combines the topological elements of the base lens and an additional refractive force described along a spiral lattice.
EFFECT: variety of parameters gives the lens design high operational flexibility, due to which providing the most suitable features allows to satisfy the widest range of visual needs when carrying out activities of various kinds; wherein it is possible to set parameters setting lenses close to focal ones, in which changes of contrast values due to change of pupil diaphragm are taken into account, as well as counteracting effects of positive dysphotopsia.
