FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ophthalmology and concerns an ophthalmic lens. The ophthalmic lens contains an optical part having a front surface, a back surface and an optical axis. At least one of the front surface and the back surface has a surface profile having a base curvature, a refraction area having a base curvature, and a diffraction area containing a diffraction profile containing a set of diffraction stages. At least part of the diffraction profile is a combination of a basic diffraction profile, which forms several focal points for the ophthalmic lens, and an achromatizing structure, which reduces longitudinal chromatic aberrations.
EFFECT: improvement of the image in a wide range of white light and obtaining a more contrasting image on the retina.
