FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to encoder designed to detect the steal and can be used in distribution of dispensing of fluids, for example, liquid fluid. Encoder is fitted on the shaft extending from piston-type flow meter and can calculate the volume of distributed fluid. Encoder comprises magnet, magnetic transducer and pcb. Magnet is secured at said shaft by floating magnetic holder. Magnetic transducer allows measurement of magnetic induction and magnetic field direction to output their magnitudes to pcb.

EFFECT: adequate indication of occurrence or absence of steal.
