FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of biotechnology and deals with species and strain identification of bifidobacteria of phylotype Bifidobacterium longum. Claimed method is based on combination and polymorphism of genes of toxin-antitoxin of RelBE superfamily and is characterised by the fact that for identification amplification with genome DNA is performed with application of set of species- and strain-specific oligonucleotides, PCR products are analysed in agarose gel, and size of obtained fragment is determined by means of DNA-marker. Analysed strains are related to certain species and/or strain in case of accumulation of fragments with application of certain oligonucleotides.

EFFECT: claimed invention can be used for identification of strains of bifidobacteria, identification of analysed strains in clinical samples or their molecular tracking in commercial preparations.
