FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises micro-arc oxidation in alkaline electrolyte along with impregnation of oxidised surface with polymer, fusion of polymer top layer and cooling. Note here that micro-arc oxidation is conducted in anode-cathode mode at densities of anode and cathode currents of 0.5-30 A/dm2 and Ic/Ia ratio equal to 1.1-1.2 while superhighmolecular polyethylene is used as said polymer.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance and lower friction factor.
