SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chains of heat exchange kilns. The chain for a chain curtain of the rotary burning kiln comprises interconnected links. The links are configured so that the cross section of the body of each chain link consists of a rectangle, which larger side at the section of the link body along the central longitudinal axis is parallel to this central longitudinal axis and adjacent to its smaller side in the place of contact of links of the circular segment defining an inner contact surface of the link. And the radius of the arc of circumference of the circular segment, defining the inner contact surface of the link, is equal to the radius of the circumference arc that defines the profile of the opening of each of the previous link of the chain and each subsequent chain link at the place of contact. According to the second embodiment of the invention the chain comprises interconnected links formed so that the cross section of the body of each chain link consists of a rectangle, which larger side at the section of the link body along the central longitudinal axis of the chain is parallel to this central longitudinal axis and two circular segments adjacent to its small sides. One of the segments defines an outer end surface of the link and is a semi-circle with a diameter equal to the small side of the rectangle. Another segment defines the inner contact surface of the link. At that the radius of the arc of circumference of the circular segment defining an inner contact surface of the link, is equal to the radius of the arc of circumference that defines the profile of opening of each previous link of the chain and each subsequent link of the chain at the place of contact.

EFFECT: increase in heat conducting properties of the chain is achieved.
