FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agricultural engineering, in particular to the heads for mowing grass with line. The head comprises a casing with a winding reel for winding the cutting line. The casing is provided with teeth. The casing teeth interact with the projections of the reel. On the opposite side of the reel there are also protrusions. The head has a reversing element with the first and second group of teeth. The teeth of the reversing elements interact with the protrusions of the opposite side of the reel.
EFFECT: constructive solution provides rotation of the coil in one direction and prevents rotation in the opposite direction relative to the casing, and also enables to use the head for mowing grass on machines with both right and left-hand rotation.
