SUBSTANCE: cutting unit of a tool for trimming plants comprises a cutting head and a connected roll of cutting line. The cutting head is made with the possibility to receive the connected roll. The roll comprises a plurality of temporarily connected turns of the cutting line. The roll has a central cavity. The head comprises a housing and a central core. The housing is equipped with a peripheral opening for the line output and is made with the possibility of bringing into rotation by a motor. The core comprises a device for interacting with the roll. The interaction device ensures engagement between the core and the roll during rotation. The core is made with the possibility of selective rotation relative to the housing. The possibility to use a connected line roll is ensured.
EFFECT: feeding a line segment is simplified.
