FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to main line servicing and repair. Oil line section is isolated by deactivation of pump units and shutoff of said section by line or temporary stop gates. Working trenches are made and oil residues are drained from section to be repaired. Fire-free cutters are mounted at the ends of said section and check holes are drilled in pipeline for control over oil level. Earthing and shunting jumpers of copper cables with sectional area making at least 16 mm2 to interconnect uncut parts of pipeline and to connect with cut section. Fire-free cutter remote control board starts cutting at all ends of said section at cutter speed not over 60 rpm and radial displacement of not over 30 mm/min. In cutting, cutter is cooled by fluid fed from vessel via hose. Pipeline cut length is supported by handling device.
EFFECT: accelerated and high-quality surface cutting.
