FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: fibre mass of specified weight is loosened, placed into a drying chamber, the specified time is maintained at the specified temperature, and scanned by acoustic oscillations, fixing readings of acoustic oscillations amplitude and phase change. Then again weighed, scanned with acoustic oscillations, fixing readings of acoustic oscillations amplitude and phase change, again placed into the drying chamber. Further weighing and scanning is repeated, the procedure is repeated to achieve stable weight of the fibre mass sample. Functional dependences are built for dependence of amplitude on number of fibres in direction of scanning and phase on moisture of fibre mass. The procedure is repeated for several samples of different weight, also setting functional dependences. The controlled fibre mass is shaped into a tape, pulled via a draw plate having acoustic sensors, perpendicular to direction of tape movement, the sample is scanned, using established dependences, by the value of the average amplitude they decide on number of fibres in the scanning direction, and the average fibre moisture is defined using the average value of the phase of the acoustic signal that has passed through the fibre mass.
EFFECT: increased accuracy, objectivity and efficiency of continuous fibre moisture control in process of fibre processing.
