SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology, particularly to molecular medicine, and can be used in medical practice for treating pathologies related to excessive angiogenesis, including malignant tumour growth, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and diabetic retinopathy. The method involves administering an effective amount of proteolytically inactive recombinant forms of a urokinase-type plasminogen activator (urokinase) into excessive angiogenesis in a combination with a recombinant kringle domain of the urokinase-type plasminogen activator inhibiting the proteolytic action of the native urokinase-type plasminogen activator competitively and disconnecting receptor proteins spatially mediating regulatory effects of the urokinase system.

EFFECT: method enables inhibiting the vascular growth locally.
