FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to rolling stock friction dampers. Friction damper comprises pressure wedge resting on pressure spring and spacer ring via friction wedges interacting with friction barrel. Space ring is made of dielectric material while damper incorporates current source connected with pressure wedge and friction barrel. Force of friction between friction wedges and friction barrel is controlled by slave adjustment system. The latter consists of current controller receiving signal from adder output. Adder compares the signal of setting the marginal amplitude of bolster vertical oscillations fed from marginal amplitude of bolster vertical oscillations setting unit with signal of actual said amplitude fed from transducer of vertical accelerations of bolster, dual integrator and rectifier.
EFFECT: smooth run of rolling stock, higher safety and minor effects on track.
