FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: axial contact-free engine-generator contains a housing and rotor, which has permanent axial multipolar magnet of subexciter inductor and axial rotary magnetic circuits of subexciter and main generator. And according to the given invention in the housing from the side of permanent multipolar magnet of subexciter inductor the side axial magnetic circuit with one active face surface with a multiphase winding in slots is installed. The permanent magnet of subexciter inductor is designed with rotor position sensors, each of which consists of sensing element fixed on permanent multipolar magnet of subexciter inductor along the external radius, and signal winding installed using of a connecting rod on internal surface of the housing at the line of intersection of the plane, perpendicular to rotor spin axis and passing through centrelines of sensing elements, from internal surface of the housing. Each signal winding is equidistant from the neighbouring signal windings. The control unit is installed in the lower part of the housing.

EFFECT: possibility for execution by one axial electrical machine of two functions: conversion of mechanical energy of rotation into DC electrical energy of high quality and conversion of DC electrical energy into mechanical energy of rotation at a simultaneous improvement of reliability of operation of the electrical machine, simplification of technology of its manufacture and lowering of the cost.
