FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: used to determine height of an internal protruding part of an air cock nozzle. The substance of the invention consists in the fact that measurement is carried out by an ultrasonic defectoscope on thickness of pipe wall, and height of the internal protruding part of the air cock nozzle is calculated, at the same time the ultrasonic defectoscope is used to measure thickness of pipe collar and nozzle wall thickness, sweep range is set according to the standard, a piezoelectric converter is installed onto a controlled air cock nozzle at the maximum close distance to the pipe collar, they move the piezoelectric converter along the circumference along the air cock nozzle generatrix with detection of the maximum value of coordinate from the point of exit of the ultrasonic beam to the edge of the air cock nozzle.
EFFECT: provision of measurement of height of an internal protruding part of an oil pipeline air cock nozzle with low error.
