FIELD: physics, computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of controlling actions of an electronic user character in computer games. The method includes receiving, from a source, an observed image of a target with depth, using a model of a target having a posture, rasterising the model into a synthesized image with depth, adjusting the posture of the model based on differences between the observed image with depth and the synthesized image with depth by applying one or more forces to force receiving points of the model and enabling the model to move as a response to said forces.
EFFECT: high efficiency of tracking a target when simulating a computer game.
