FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: midline laparotomy is performed. The abdominal cavity is cleared. A semi-permeable membrane is fixed as a film to an inner aponeurosis of the muscles of the anterior abdominal wall along the perimeter of the wound with single interrupted sutures. A semi-permeable membrane size is 2-3 times greater than an open wound area. An advanced tightness of the abdominal cavity is generated by anchoring a polyvinylchloride tube along the perimeter of the wound between the applied sutures.
EFFECT: method provides non-traumatic decompression of the abdominal wall and intra-abdominal pressure control by creating the passive open abdomen by forming a free bag of the semi-permeable membrane in front of the abdominal content, and enables dosing the therapeutic preparations administered into the abdominal cavity gradually, visualising an amount and a nature of the discharged exudate by using the semi-permeable membrane in the form of a transparent film.
