SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to abdominal surgery, and can be used in treating patients with diffuse peritonitis. Protective perforated polymer film is placed in the abdominal cavity to cover the internal organs from the diaphragm to the small pelvis and lateral canals. First foam sponge is placed under the abdominal wall so as to close the internal organs from the front. Partial closure of aponeurosis edges in upper and lower corners of wound is performed, intra-abdominal pressure is measured. Skin is sutured in upper and lower corners of the wound; a second sponge is inserted into the wound. Wound is sealed with a self-adhesive film, a negative pressure of -80 mm Hg is created using an apparatus which is tightly connected to the system in the wound through a hole in the self-adhesive film. After the programmed abdominal inspection, the VAC system is replaced or removed.

EFFECT: method provides maximum exudate removal, excluding formation of non-drained fluid accumulations in the abdominal cavity, prevention of intestinal fistula formation by reducing the level of negative pressure to -80 mm Hg, creation of optimal conditions for layer-by-layer closure of the abdominal cavity.
