FIELD: measuring instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: off-axis parabolic cylinder mirror positioned coaxially with a mirror and symmetrical against vertical plane passing through measured object axis is scaling and projecting the object image onto a photodetector line enabling measurement of an object with diameter exceeding the length of multielement photodetector. Transverse dimension of the device does not expand, thus allowing positioning the device in a process line.
EFFECT: extended dimensions measurement range.
