SUBSTANCE: method comprises selecting an image SPIA; verifying perception of depth effects; obtaining dynamic series of the X coordinate of the right and left eye; if the series include the condition XRa≠XLe, perception of image depth is confirmed; constructing dynamic series of the X and Y coordinates for the right and left eye, coordinate differences ΔX, ΔY; obtaining spectrograms of all dynamic series; constructing a histogram contour of the differences ΔX, ΔY; determining the position of the maximum of the contour (ΔqX)Max and (ΔqY)Max, and the maximum width of the contour at the base level Max (ΔqX) and Max (ΔqY).

EFFECT: wider range of determined perception indicators of depth and volume of a plane image.
