SUBSTANCE: invention relates to decreasing of heavy metal emission. This method comprises the steps that follow. Combusting of fuel heavy metal in combustion chamber. Molecular halogens or one or more halogen precursors are fed into flue gas flow resulted from combustion of fuel containing heavy metals, its fuel making over 1000°F (538°C). Sorbent is fed to flue gas flow upstream of air preheater. Whereto halogen and absorbent are added at the ration of 0.7-5.7 of halogen moles per pound (1.542-12.555 mole/kg) of adsorbent.
EFFECT: higher safety, environmental protection.
