FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: ladder comprises the first pair of spaced stands, a row of steps that continue between the first pair of spaced stands and attached to it, a pair of transverse support elements, each of which is made as capable of selective displacement in the transverse direction relative to the coupled stand, a pair of adjustable supports, besides, each support is movably fixed to a coupled transverse support element by means of a coupled pair of holders, at the same time each holder is movably fixed with the coupled adjustable support and pivotally connected to the coupled transverse support element, at the same time each support has the first end, movably connected to the coupled stand and with a capability of selective placement of the first pair of the spaced stands relative to the coupled stand, at the same time each adjustable support is made as capable of selective displacement at least between two different angular positions relative to their coupled stands, and comprises the second end, which is made as capable of selective placement transversely relative to its coupled support, regardless of location of the first end of the adjustable support, in which every holder from the pair of holders comprises a section of the body made with the possibility of installation inside the channel formed by its coupled adjustable support, and a pair of sections of bends formed on each side of the body section, in order to jointly or pairwise engage the adjustable support.

EFFECT: selective adjustment of a ladder, use of a ladder on different support surfaces, increased stability and safety.
