FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: principal heat exchanger used in cryogenic rectification heats up a product flow supplied with a pump and consisting of liquid saturated with oxygen or with nitrogen, and therefore, a compressed product flow is created. Layers of the principal heat exchanger are made so that reduction of heat transfer surface provided in the principal heat exchanger for heating of the product flow supplied with the pump occurs at the point at which temperature of the product flow supplied with the pump either exceeds critical temperature or condensation temperature of such a flow. Reduction of heat transfer surface leaves sections of the layers, which are able to heat or cool another flow that is used in connection with cryogenic rectification. Such other flow can represent a cooling agent flow that provides for use of additional cooling to increase production of liquid products.
EFFECT: increasing compactness and providing higher volumetric flows at indirect heat exchange.
