FIELD: air separation unit.
SUBSTANCE: in the air separation unit (100–300) operating according to the high air pressure method, it is provided that in order to form the first non-liquefied and the second liquefied process stream, which are separately from each other subjected to rarefaction to the pressure level of the high pressure column (111) and supply in this column, the gaseous and liquid components of air are used, which are prepared at the first pressure level and the first temperature level and sequentially cooled to the second temperature level, compression to the second pressure level, cooling to the third pressure level and phase separation. The first process stream is supplied for dilution at the second pressure level and the third temperature level, which are selected so that when the first process stream is diluted to the operating pressure level of the high pressure column (111), a liquid component from 5% to 15% of the entire first process stream is formed. The rest of the air is cooled without further compression, rarefied in the turbine and fed into the distillation column system (110). For cooling, only process streams are used, which are provided by the distillation column system (110).
EFFECT: increasing the device efficiency.
