FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention aims at solution of a task of optimisation of gear transmission lubrication with lubricating greases. For that purpose, a testing method of a roller model of a gear transmission involves bringing of rollers into mutual contact with the application to them of radial load, application of lubricants onto working surfaces of the rollers, application of torque at least to one roller, and testing of the model with the observation of a friction force between the rollers; with that, during the testing, alternation of one-time return cycles of a lubricant displaced from the working surfaces of the rollers is performed back to these surfaces at operation intervals of the rollers without any return of the lubricant till the maximum friction force value is obtained at the end of each of such intervals, which is equal to that specified for one time for the whole test period; besides, by variation there changed are durations of operation periods of the rollers without any return of the lubricant and amount of the lubricant returned per a return cycle. Versions are compared, and an optimum combination of time of the period and amount of material is determined.
EFFECT: optimising lubrication of gear transmissions with lubricating greases.
