FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: brake drum made as a cast element with a cylindrical drum surface and with a connected flange for fixation to a wheel hub. The brake drum surface and the flange are separated from each other with regard of material and connected to each other by means of cast-in sliding elements with possibility of relative radial movement relative to each other.
EFFECT: increasing operating life and improving operating reliability of a brake drum.
