FIELD: beverage preparation devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to portion capsule (1) for preparation of a beverage having main element (2) made with flange (2.4) and forming hollow space (3) in which the beverage raw material is placed and which is closed by membrane (4) fixed on flange (2.4) of main element, having wall area and bottom area. Portion capsule has identifier (5) which enables to individualize the corresponding portion capsule. According to the invention, the identifier is a bar code provided on the side of flange (2.4) of main element (2) facing away from the membrane, wherein grooves are made in the wall area which extends between the flange and the bottom region.
EFFECT: disclosed is a portion capsule with an identifier.
