FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: device relates to engine building, and namely to devices for running and testing of high pressure fuel pumps of diesel engines. High pressure fuel pump running device (7) connected to fuel lines (8) with injectors (9) contains fuel tank (11) with filter (12) and pipelines (13), electric motor (16) and drive shaft (1) connected to a cam shaft of the pump, differs by the fact that transfer of torque to the cam shaft of the pump to be run is performed through hinge (4) of unequal angular speeds, the drive shaft (3) of which is connected to drive shaft (1) of a test bench, and drive one (5) - through coupling (6) to the cam shaft of the pump to be run; with that, position of drive (3) and driven (5) shafts relative to each other depending on technical requirements for a running mode is changed due to movement of pump (7) being run relative to vertical axis of hinge (4) in horizontal plane.
EFFECT: improvement of seating quality of friction pairs of fuel pump mechanisms, in simplification of the structure of the mechanism of dynamic action on pump parts and in reduction of running duration.
