FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: there are used biocompatible, biodegradable sustained-release implants and microspheres comprising an antihypertensive agent and a biodegradable polymer for placing inside the chamber or an anterior portion of the vitreous body. A microsphere diameter is from 30 to 100 mcm; the microspheres contain 10 to 30 wt % of the antihypertensive agent and 70 to 90 wt % of the biodegradable polymer. The antihypertensive agent is released within 10 to 120 days.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables providing the higher clinical effectiveness of the hypertensive eye condition, such as glaucoma.
