FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: mixture of particles consisting of more than 92 wt % zirconium dioxide particles includes (by weight): (a1) more than 60% zirconium dioxide particles having a size greater than 50 mcm, where at least 90 wt % of said aggregated zirconium dioxide particles comprise less than 50 wt % zirconium dioxide in monoclinic phase; (a2) more than 15% zirconium dioxide particles having a size smaller than 50 mcm, (b) 1-2% zirconium dioxide particles having a size smaller than 50 mcm; (c) 0.3-5% particles which include one, two or three oxides selected from: CaO, MgO, and Y2O3, where at least 55 wt % of said particles of additional oxides have a size smaller than 50 mcm; (d) less than 1% of particles consisting of other oxides. Said mixture of particles comprises more than 5% aggregated zirconium dioxide particles with a size greater than 1 mm, and 8-20% of particles of a matrix of zirconium dioxide with a size smaller than 15 mcm include more than 95 wt % zirconium dioxide in monoclinic phase.
EFFECT: high mechanical strength of products made from said mixture of particles at high temperatures and cyclic temperature loads.
