FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to SHF equipment. In compliance with a circuit design and operating principle the device is a coaxial SHF switch of a direct type. The coaxial SHF switch comprises a commutated section of the coaxial line, a toroidal resonator and control P-I-N-diodes. An outer conductor of the line is made with a circular gap. The toroidal resonator is installed coaxially with the line; the resonator capacitance gap is aligned with a circular gap in the outer line conductor. Due to the resonator resistance of the gap is improved as well as the quality of the switch in a reflection mode. The resonator also prevents SHF power emission to the environment. A conductive ring is installed in the line interruption coaxially to the outer conductor. With the same outputs opposed to each other the P-I-N-diodes are in-built into gaps formed at both sides of the ring in a circle-wise direction. The control electrode is connected to the ring and outputted outside through the lateral side in the toroidal resonator in the plane of its symmetry. At the selected dimensions of the resonator its resonance frequency with consideration of the P-I-N-diodes capacity in a closed state matches the frequency of the commutated SHF signal.
EFFECT: reducing losses in the mode of SHF signal mode and increasing the attenuation coefficient in the reflection mode.
