FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: tuyere comprises three aligned pipes to make water feed and discharge and oxygen feed channel and adapter with Laval nozzles secured at the ends of pipes. Two bores are made between adapter Laval nozzles at different angle to converge at the point located at tuyere and to be intercommunicated so that water feed and discharge channel is composed at adapter and. Top bore is communicated with water feed channel while bottom with water discharge channel. Water feed channel central pipe end is located below top inlet bore level with bottom bore upper edge for water discharge from tuyere adapter. Water feed bore is arranged at β=39…45°, bore inlet features diameter 1.3…1.4 times larger than bore diameter over the length of 15…30 mm. Water discharge bore is arranged at γ=15…22°. Wall depth at adapter end makes h2=10…14 mm.

EFFECT: decreased wear, longer life.
