FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates in particular to the production of steel by an oxygen-converter method and the design of the tips of oxygen-converter lances. The tip additionally contains a central cooling pipe located along the vertical axis of the tip, and connecting the cavity formed between the upper plate and the separator with the cavity formed by the separator and the lower plate. The central cooling pipe is fixed close to the upper and lower plates and is perforated in the upper and lower side parts, or the central cooling pipe is fixed close to the lower plate and is installed with a gap to the upper plate and is perforated in the lower side part, or the central cooling pipe is fixed close to the upper plate and installed with a gap to the lower plate and is perforated in the upper side part, or the central cooling pipe is installed with a gap to the lower and upper plates and is fixed to the separator and is solid.
EFFECT: enhancement of the durability of the tip of an oxygen-converter lance by improving the efficiency of its cooling.
