SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to wireless access systems and can be used to allocate a device identifier in a system which supports machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. The method comprises steps of receiving, by a M2M device from a base station, a M2M group identifier (MGID) indicating a M2M group to which the M2M device belongs; applying, by the M2M device, the MGID to a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) mask; and decoding, by the M2M device, a message in the form of an advanced map information (A-MAP IE) based on the CRC mask.
EFFECT: allocating identifiers to a large number of M2M devices within a cell.
