FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to safety equipment, more specifically, to means for protection of a human's head against impacts. The protective helmet contains a body and a damping liner made of foam plastic and having a cellular structure in its upper part; the cells of the damping liner are of the through type, their surface shaped as pyramidal frustrum; major holes of the cells are made on the liner side that is adjacent to the body with parabola-shaped cut-outs made in the partitions of the liner upper part cells.

EFFECT: solution allows to increase the helmet wearing comfort due to improvement of air circulation between the head and the ambient environment without detriment to the helmet protective characteristics.
