FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a base with a through longitudinal groove for reciprocating longitudinal displacement of a spindle head housing with an electric motor and a spindle, a temperature sensor installed on the spindle head housing above the spindle, two contactless displacement sensors installed at the holders rigidly fixed on the base on the opposite sides of the spindle, a unit to move and fix the spindle head housing made as a screw with a nut. The screw is installed above the longitudinal groove of the base and is able of rotation, and the nut is able of reciprocating displacement and fixation in the said groove so that in case of unsecured position of the nut and the rotation of the screw, the nut moves in the longitudinal groove of the base, and in case of fixed position of the nut, the spindle head housing is moved due to its thermal expansion.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of part machining due to the fact that spindle axis displacement in the geometry generation plane at lathe warming-up is prevented.
