FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating and can be used for antifriction, antirust and decorative processing of metal surfaces. Proposed device comprises tampon of dielectric material and anode fitted in electrolyte. Note here that tampon and anode are arranged in chemically durable dielectric housing. The latter accommodates current source with negative pole brought out from said housing as flexible wire with clamp at the end connected with processed surface. Anode connected with current source positive pole is fitted in tampon impregnated with electrolyte on one side while, on opposite side, rod of adsorbing material impregnated with electrolyte is fitted in tampon. Rod free end is connected with surface area to be coated.
EFFECT: possibility of manual or automatic electroplating of local metal surfaces of complex shape, decreased weight and overall dimensions.
